Our Story

A family, a flip, a fresh beginning.

Colombian roots

aleia was born from our family's love for bringing people together. Eight years ago we made the United States our home, carrying our Latin warmth with us and a dream of building something meaningful — together.

A family dream

Our journey began with Belove Creamery, our first ice cream shop. When things didn't go as we hoped, we faced closing its doors — but God had a different plan for us. We believe that when one door closes, another opens. Sometimes you just need to flip the arepa — turn things around, try something new, and trust the plan.

A joyful new beginning

We flipped ours and found a new calling in Greek frozen yogurt — and that fresh start became aleia Yogurt House, where our joyful Latin soul meets Greek yogurt tradition through tropical flavors, delicious indulgence, and heartfelt hospitality.

What is aleia?

Our name comes from the Cataleya, a fragrant orchid native to Central and South America. Inspired by the vibrant flavors of Latin and tropical cultures, aleia invites you to create your own ritual of indulgence, where flavor, wellness, and joy swirl together into a feel-good experience.

aleia is a Greek frozen yogurt shop with two locations in Broward County, Florida — Coconut Creek and Plantation — serving authentic, traditionally cultured frozen yogurt that is low in sugar and fat, high in protein, and contains live probiotics — finished with fresh fruit and imported toppings you choose yourself.

Where is aleia located?

aleia has two shops: 6111 Lyons Rd, Suite 102, Coconut Creek, FL 33073 (serving Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Parkland, and Margate) and 140 S Pine Island Rd, Plantation, FL 33324 (serving Plantation, Sunrise, Davie, and Lauderhill).

What are aleia’s hours?

Both aleia shops are open Monday through Thursday from 2pm to 9pm, Friday from 2pm to 10pm, Saturday from 1pm to 10pm, and Sunday from 1pm to 9pm.

How much does aleia cost?

aleia offers three cup sizes: Mini (2 toppings) for $6.50, Classic (2 toppings) for $8.50, Signature (3 toppings) for $9.95. Every cup includes your choice of Plain, Passion Fruit, or the monthly Seasonal Flavor, plus toppings picked fresh at the bar.

Is Greek frozen yogurt healthier than regular ice cream?

Yes. Greek frozen yogurt is made with cultured dairy, giving it more protein and less sugar and fat than typical ice cream, while still tasting rich and indulgent — which is the whole idea behind aleia’s "conscious pleasure" approach.

Does aleia’s frozen yogurt contain live probiotics?

Yes, every cup of aleia frozen yogurt is made with active live cultures, the same probiotics found in traditional Greek yogurt, supporting gut health as part of an everyday treat.

What toppings does aleia offer?

aleia’s toppings bar is organized into four categories: Fresh Fruit, Creams & Drizzles, Crunchy Toppings, and Fruit Preserves — including favorites like fresh berries, pistachio cream with kataifi, dulce de leche, and Nutella. Build your cup exactly your way.

Does aleia offer delivery?

Yes — aleia delivers through Uber Eats, so you can have your frozen yogurt brought to you. You can also build your cup fresh in person at either shop, and reach out ahead of your visit on Instagram.
